Mr Peter Quiggin PSM KC
PQQC Consulting can make Peter available as a Board member for the Boards of Government agencies, audit and risk committees for Government agencies and for private sector boards.
Peter is a highly experienced former Commonwealth agency head with very strong skills in leadership, management and corporate governance. He led the highly respected Australian Office of Parliamentary Counsel for 17 years.
Peter became a Commonwealth King’s Counsel in 2020.
As a former First Parliamentary Counsel, Peter has an outstanding understanding of legislation, legislative schemes and systems for developing legislation.
He also has a very high level of expertise on the management and structure of legislative drafting offices.
He is a strategic thinker who understands the environment in which Government agencies operate
He is also an experienced Board member having been on Government and not for profit Boards for over a decade and having been President of an international association for a record 3 terms. He was a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Peter led, or participated in, a number of reviews – particularly focused on the operation of legislation.
Peter has degrees in Law, Accounting, Mathematics and Computer Science.
